The Moonbroch Atelier Couture Collection’19 unveiled at Slay The Runway – For a Cause
The Moonbroch Atelier Fundraiser held on 3 rd August was an evening of spectacular fashion with timeless
classics and avant-garde creations from the house of Moonbroch, a leading couture designer brand.
Moonbroch believes in transforming lives through true empowerment and this show was an initiative to
support The Laksh Foundation through an innovative fundraiser. In keeping with the Moonbroch brand
philosophy of celebrating women achievers from varied arenas , the show brought together an eclectic mix
of 25 entrepreneurs, doctors, fashionistas, architects, models and artists to showcase the collection.
Resplendent in uniquely styled Moonbroch ensembles designed to suit their individual personalities, they
slayed the ramp like true Divas !
The participants were provided personalised styling and transformational
makeovers by the Creative Head of Moonbroch, Kamalpreet Dhaliwal. The event was an impressive
showcase of this unique offering from Moonbroch which offers not only designer ensembles, jewellery and
accessories but provides customised styling basis individual body type in a complete offering. Reflecting the
aspirations of the rapidly evolving contemporary woman who wants to be uniquely distinctive in every
sphere on her life, Moonbroch is building a legacy of compelling design and ingenuity.
The brand, foundedby Kamalpreet Dhaliwal, has experienced exponential growth in a very short duration. The MoonbrochCouture Collection’19, unveiled at this fashion extravaganza was a magnificent confluence of empoweringyet feminine silhouettes. Imbued with exquisite artisanal detailing, Moonbroch creations find their essencein perfection of cut and craftsmanship .
The event was held in association with The Manhattan Craft Brewery on the buzzing Golf Course Road – a
hub of explosive entertainment, innovative brews and gourmet cuisine. The fundraiser witnessed a massive
turnout. The guest list comprised of distinguished and glamorous changemakers, fashionistas, corporate
honchos, socialites and entrepreneurs from the Delhi NCR swish set.
The Moonbroch collection transcended the realm between the fantastical and the extravagant with a
signature combination of elegant and opulent designs. Presenting two distinctive sequences, the show
enthralled guests with Vintage couture evening gowns in the finale.
Inspired by the timeless glamour of anera of archetypal Victorian opulence, the evening gowns brought together a touch of Hollywood red carpet drama. The delicate rhinestone embellishments and explosion of dramatic reds presented ensembles perfect
for celebrating champagne dos in style .
Showstopper for Indian design Preety Tyagi …
Reminiscent of an age of enchantment and bewitching beauty, Moonbroch creations promise endless
romance. The opening sequence showcased The Moonbroch Festive Collection with exquisite Indian Bridal
and Festive ensembles .The first part of the show was an alchemy borne of the confluence of ancient Indian
arts and contemporary silhouettes showcasing royal Indian lehengas, sarees and fusion outfits. The
collections were accompanied by a curated edit of jewellery from the house of Moonbroch.
The showstopper creation was an arresting confluence of metallic silver silk and deep pink draped in an
unexpected sweeping cowl. The bodice was detailed with minutely draped pleats accompanied by a
luxurious silver trail . Another favourite from the collection was a highly stylized monochrome creation
fashioned in black fur with dreamy feathers and a dramatic train. A sea of iridescent copper and gold sequins
adorned an elegant Mermaid gown.
Hues of metallic greys melted into sequined black to create aspectacular impact in yet another stunning creation. The show also featured a multi-tiered fusion creation in myriad hues of grey embellished with edgy black feathers.
A glamorous Victorian red evening gown was fashioned from luxurious silks with intricate handwork. Using
sumptuous colours and edgy new age accents to depict the grandeur of an unforgettable era of unbridled
style, the Moonbroch collection skilfully combined wearability and glamour.
